Thankful Thursday

I will bless her with abundant provisions; her poor will I satisfy with food. Psalms 132:15 (niv) The Lord is so great in how HE does things. My prior post was on 2am friends and those people you can count on when a crisis hits. Well, yesterday my younger brother, his wife and their 3 children became homeless due to a house fire. My brother and his family are like many out there that just can't seem to keep their head above water. To hear my brother tell it, he's so far down in the depths that he hasn't seen daylight in years. I have told my brother that the Lord has a calling on his life and that he should bend his knee to the Lord. My brother is a professed believer yet he fails to submit everything to the Lord. Well, he now understands he has to submit all he has left to the Lord and now he will have to wait and watch the Lord work in this situation. I put a call out on Facebook and my local church family and the outpouring of love, support, prayers and offers for assistance has truly ministered to my heart. I realize that because I did ask, they came through for not only me but for my brother whom they have not met. I truly praise the Lord for His mercy. This is a great opportunity for me and others to witness and minister to my brother and his family. I know great things will come from this tragedy. I continue to ask for your prayers. I will update the status of the family and what God has done. My thankful Thursday list:
  • My brother and his family were not harmed in any way during the fire that destroyed all their material possessions
  • For those that have stepped forward with prayers, support and assistance to help them
  • The Red Cross and the help they provided
  • For my Lord and Savior - I am so excited to see what He is going to do in this situation
  • For my church family and friends -- there are more 2am friends out there than I realized
  • Little Man's upcoming birthday on Tues -- Hubby is taking off on Mon so we can have family day at Busch Gardens
  • The upcoming election and our democratic process
  • For my salvation
Thanks for visiting today -- For more TT, check out Iris at Grace Alone. Blessings, Paula
